please..dont gimme RED.... light...A.R.E.A.

I always have this little CALVIN’S heart to do the weird things in life. Some of them I can’t even share!!! And because of all this, even today my Maa beats me, with a favourite dialogue ready to be poured on my head. “Sheru has more brains than you… Why on earth you trouble me even at this age??” That’s how my mom turns into Nirupama Roy; and Sheru is our pet dog!! I love my Dad, he will always be there to rescue me.

What I will be sharing here is one of my stupid adventures which took me to a place called “Bhudhawar Peth”, the red-light area of Pune.

Breaking news!!! A 10 year old girl raped by a maniac. “What the hell is wrong with these guys?” such a bad news on a Saturday morning with a heavy head could not get worse for me.
“Aren’t there any brothels where these guys can die with their lust, instead of raping poor souls??” my mood was getting bitter and bitter when Monty came with a cup of coffee.
“Hangover boss!!! Drink this you’ll feel better” he said
“Aren’t you guys serious about this? I mean, how can you’ll be so ill hearted?” I protested. Now in my friends gang, there is only one guy who can counter me in any discussion. That’s my best buddy Sid, rest all prefer to stay away!
“Baba!! are you ever serious about your life, that you have started getting a heart of other people? Have you ever tried to make up at least 1% of what your dad expects from you?” Sid, with a ciggy in his hand puffed questions at me.
“Makes no sense brother!! This has nothing to do with my life..” anger was building in me now
“It does have!! After the hangover, you’ll forget who raped whom. Forget that, have you ever tried to see, how miserable life is, of the people in red-light areas?” Sid was up to something, I could sense!!
“Why should I care?” I was getting confused now
“That’s the problem, you never care!!” he somehow made me to change the topic!!

2 dispirins, 2 cups of coffee and a hot shower, I was fresh as ever. We decided to hang out at our favorite place when all of a sudden I got this desire to see how actually a red-light area looks like. I have seen in films, but spending more than 3 years in Pune, and no trip to the most famous Bhudawar Peth, was a big NO NO for me. I wanted to see, how people live there, what they eat, everything!!

I stopped my bike on the middle of the road, pacchu missed by a whisker banging me, sid showed his finger, monty had closed his eyes!!

“I know, you’ll kill us one day..but what is so special today??” pacchu shouted on top of his voice.
“I want to see Bhudawar Peth” I said

All eyes…angry eyes turned on Sid. He had nothing to say, in fact all were in the direction to Bhudawar Peth. On the way, everybody tried to change my mind, started telling me stories about AIDS, the gundas of that area, how they threaten and mug people. But nothing could change my decision. Soon we were there!! The great Budhawar Peth!! Guess what I have passed by that area innumerable times, but never had an idea, about the actual happens around.

The place is a complete mess!! Lots and lots of people. Most of them come for window shopping (even we were doing the same). My legs were getting numb on every step I was taking. What I witnessed was more shocking than the news that morning. Girls, innocent girls who I guess have not even attained their maturity were kind of drugged to be women!! I was sweating badly, they were so many of them!! Some tried to pull me, some touching my cheeks, falling and I was all hell bent scared. Couple of times I warned them not to touch me and they started laughing as if I had cracked a joke.

We moved forward, and there was a 3 storey building full of people. Somehow I dared to move in, and the first smell I got, made me puke my guts out. I don’t know how to describe how people were living there. Rooms were just 10*10 sqft!! And we crib about pantries not having green tea!! Monty has a fair amount of idea about such areas, he managed to introduced me to one of the sex workers there. I went in, and my first words to her was – “I need to talk!! Just talk..nothing else”. She smiled!! She was so beautiful, I could not imagine what made her to get into this hell!! I wanted to know her work timings, but could not dare to ask that question. All I know is they earn much more than us, but sadly they hardly get to see life what we see. She wanted to become a doctor, but her fate had different plans for her. She likes mobiles and have 3 of them!! All expensive ones!! We talked for about half an hour, but then I had to move, because all in one day was hard for me to handle. She thanked me for the 30 mins I gave her. But still I had to pay her!!

When I came out, my eyes were all wet!! People around and my friends gave a strange look.
“First time?” a guy asked. I nodded my head and moved on!! This was the first time I saw a life which is so different than mine. I get suffocated if I don’t get fresh air even for a minute. Her room had no windows!!
I had to pay her 1000 bucks :), that’s the rate for her time!! and believe me it’s worth it!! Because it’s because of these people at least some of the maniacs don’t fall into dreadful crime. I don’t advocate any of the policy of how this business runs. Neither the way innocent girls are brain washed and forced to enter into this hell.

I stood there for an hour, and could do nothing to help these people. We came back to our room, talked about stuff which has no meaning to life, drank beers, puffed ciggys and slept!! Sid was right, next day I was normal. Didn’t care of whose life is going what way. All I cared was for my happiness and my comfort!! I really would not want to go there again!!

I need you

I need you to know
How restless I get,
When you turn your face away
How lonely I feel ,
When you are near, yet so far

I need you to feel
How my heart beats,
When I think about you
How my eyes get wet,
When I don’t see you in them

I need you to admire
How much I try,
To make our dreams come true,
How much I fight,
When you feel world is against you

I need you to believe
That what we share is our soul
That what we feel is the thing called love
That what we dream is world so beautiful
That what makes me strong is your hand in mine

I need you to understand
That I need you, only you!!

P.E.A.C.E.

Your word is my command
I act only when you demand
Your smile, your happiness is my life
Have I cooked well, O my dear wife?

As your guard, I proudly walk besides you
To save you from sun and rain, I am there for you
Sometimes driver, sometimes laundry
Just for your love I see no boundary

I dance, I entertain when you frown
When you are upset I do become a clown
You say things, you speak and I listen
I listen, I listen and I listen!

I comfort you when you are low
Sometimes, on my nose I do get a blow
Enough for today honey, tomorrow is not far
If you test my patience more, my riffle is not too far!!!

PS: NOM to anybody dead or alive.
PSS: Saw couple arguing on bus today. Poor guy, he didn’t get any chance to speak. Darn, that spoiled my sleep!!

If you can FEEL MY LOVE

This is what happens, when
I close my eyes and think about you!
My mind gets high
And my senses fly

Suddenly world becomes beautiful.
The streets light bright,
When you are at my sight
My heart beat fast and all seems right!

You are my world, my life, my fantasy
You are the one whom I call my destiny
Wish I could open my heart and make you see
That sound from within is just for thee

I hope these waves from my heart,
Reach your soul to be one.
And when you feel it; touch my heart
Cos loving you is my dream, my reality from the start!

Hold On...

Hold me tight
Because I am on a fight,
With the world
Who thinks my love is cold

Feelings are new
And you feel life will skew,
Tear us apart
Like we never have had a heart

Determined I am
And I want you to be strong,
To face our fate
Together, as one all day all long

Time will come
When the angels will come down,
To tie us tight
And never part even if the whole world fight

Orkut...Friend...Good Friend...Like...Love...Twist...No Idea!!!

Prologue: Had a very boring weekend, friends suggested that I should watch hindi romantic movies for a change and guess what I felt so good after watching them!!! I watched DDLJ, KKHH and RHTDM and read an article on how nowadays technology is helping hearts to meetJ!!!

My initial feelings about LOVE: I hate sad endings and I hate love stories. I am not trying to be a typical egoistic guy here, all I want to say is I have a small heart which is damn very scared by the feeling of getting hurt, scared of losing someone when the ONE has made a place in your heart, scared of the fact that if things don’t work out, I have to live without the ONE who is/was my life. I am just scared to fake that I am strong when actually this LOVE sucks!!

Orkut the Match Maker

I would not like to give any credit to Orkut for changing my status from singe to committed, but that’s what she thinks; and I quietly nod. Well my dad always say – “Never argue with a woman, there is no way you can win!!!” and I rightly accept.

Priti, a distant relative of mine, vaguely knew her, had heard about her, but never came across in a way I could deeply look into her eyes to see how much true guys were, about her. All I shared with her in these years was just a smile!! But when the Love God whips your butt, you don’t hear any sound; you just feel the sensation of losing out your brain. I felt the same sensation and I was on the verge of losing my brains when she sent me a friend request in Orkut. This is how we became FRIENDS, and the reason for her to thank Orkut.

I talk well, probably that’s the only talent I have and my friends think I am a big flirt. I actually don’t flirt, I just try to put my negativity/bad character etc etc in such a way that, most of the time people feel I am good guy. From being Friends to Good Friends was a journey where I tried to put a real me in front of her. I never tried to use my talent to try and speak good things and make her feel special. In fact most of the time we argued!! And we were growing in a special comfort zone surrounded by the sweet arguments we used to have. We were falling into that phase where we start getting addicted to each other. We became GOOD FRIENDS.

By now we knew that this feelings which was growing in us, would surely take control of our brains. Every morning my eyes used to start searching for her messages on my cell. Little heart in me used to get upset if I didn’t find any, and with a sudden beep when her name appeared on my cell, my heart would dance in joy. Even she was going through the same experience. We were smitten….smitten badly by the Love bug!! Our talks got more warm and matured. Till now I have not proposed her, but somehow a very important part of us got exchanged…THE HEART.

The Twist

After dating for such a long time (I guess it’s just a month, but feels like we have been seeing each other since ages), we knew that at some point of time we have to talk about us to our parents. And since our parents knew each other well, and even few of the things which I don’t like to talk about fall in place (read as caste), Priti decided to take this a step ahead!! 10 years back my dad had asked me to join business, but I was more adamant to stand on my own legs and be someone on my own. Today I feel I jumped on an upright axe by not getting into business!!! Her parents want a businessman with loads of bank balance (emm.. can I link my dad’s account here??) and a stupid lifestyle (I don’t like guys of my caste, they have no social consciousness, zero IQ, and a total waste life).

What next??

So now here I am, being kind of rejected only because I am not a businessman. Every moment seems to be going too fast and out of my hands. I never wanted to fall in love, never wanted to get into such an embarrassment. Friends are the worst enemies at this point of time. They suggest 101 ways to get what you want, but none seems to be a life saving one. For any such action, you’ll get a hit, hit badly from either side (her parents as well as mine).

I thought of joining dad, but for a girl, should I be deaf on ears when my soul speaks? I did not compromise on what I wanted to achieve and the way I wanted it to be, so should I now? Why can’t they understand that being just being a businessman won’t give happiness in life? It is much more important to see your child being happy with one she/he loves. This story, rather I say a stupid story, I shared with my dad, he as usual offered a help, a hefty help. He would set up a factory for me and make people feel that, I did it on my own. I wasn’t happy, not at all… “This is falling in love”, a voice within me tried to get control of my brain. I shrugged and said to myself – “Basically LOVE sucks”

PS: My friend is going through a rough phase of his life. He got ditched!! This one is dedicated to him.

PSS: The topic describes his story, but what I ended up is writing mine!! Only difference is mine is still in progress J…

PSSS: If I just join my dad’s business, we get a green signal. Is this the right way of life?

All for her smile!!!

One morning I couldn’t see that curve
That curve which pulled me to my love
Agony or hatred, was the reason for that rout
And I tell her, its under your nose, not lost, wear it and don’t ever doubt

All for that smile, and the wink in her eyes
I joke, I pray and I act foolish sometimes
Sometimes, I am not me, to make her happy
But isn’t it worth, to see her smile and cuddle like a puppy?

I try to be her laughter, a pill against pain
When the climate is hot, for her, I want to be rain
So much, yet so less I wish for her,
For her, I wish all happiness and no pain near

A smile on her face makes my day
She smiles, I smile, not a trouble in our way
Tears are the words heart can’t express
She is my life, and her smile, a cure to distress

Bangalore Drift

Yet another time I proved that no one in my entire family can waste my dad’s money as much as I do. This time it was not my fault though, but this is India and we have to pay for others fault. What happened yesterday could have been avoided if the city infrastructure was up to the mark and standards, and yes the Police Bolero at the wrong place doubled my trouble!!!

Yesterday wasn’t any special day, it still took 2 hours for me to reach home. Tired, frustrated and annoyed I called up my Jiju to ask him if we can go to any restaurant for dinner. He readily agreed, I called up my brother to meet us in Nandini. After a very satisfied dinner, my brother asked me to drop Jiju and drive his car back to our house as we had planned to spend the coming weekend in Kerala. I dropped Jiju at his house, and with lot of good nights I hit the road back home. Suvi (my cousin sister) was with me and we planned to have ice cream before going home. After many days I had got Honda CRV in my hand, and was so excited about it. I zoomed off every corner till Malleshwaram and at a turn the fully energetic and devil mind of mine asked for a drift. Adrenaline took over my senses and I hit the gas to zoom off and try out a perfect drift. I have done this a lot of time on my car and was very confident to pull out this time. Roads were very tacky and narrow, but that did not stop me!!! In fact nothing could stop me to drift CRV!!!

As I took a steep left and pulled the hand brakes on 80kmpl I could sense the drift of my life. Heart beat was 50% more than normal. With the sweet sound of tyre’s rubbing the roads I had almost completed the drift (heart beat 65% more than normal), when in a flash I saw a white Bolero parked just too outside the main road. I had to hit the brakes hard, but the momentum carried my car just to say “Why the hell did you park your car here??” and boom!!! Heart beat 80% more than normal!!! I was petrified and shocked. I came out of my car and asked Suvi to step out. The Bolero had few scratches (thanks to my driving), but when I moved to the front of the car, my heart beat raised to 95% than normal. It was a police Bolero (my heart beat stopped!!), and with that Suvi started laughing out loud. Crash took a toll on her I guess. I saw my car and all I could say…”not again!!!(this was my second incident with this car, first one was in 2007). Soon some 2-3 police officials came, and looking Suvi laughing even they started to laugh..what the hell!!! One of them came to me and asked me to do “haaah” in front of the alcohol detector machine. Thank god I did not drink, else I was gone for life. They were quite calm and asked me to call someone elder in my family. I called up my brother and Jiju.

After a lot of lecture from the Police, Jiju and brother they asked me to leave at around 12 p.m. My brother had already informed my dad about this and I was expecting a call from him. My wish soon came true, I saw my mobile ringing…Dad calling…and I was deeply praying, please dad don’t call!!! I answered, and he said, “So what next??”. Did I hear it as “which next??”!!! Call disconnected…..tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Moral: Bangalore roads are not good for drifting. The banking of the roads are not properly done and so I could not completely control the car. Government should do something about it.

PS: Always wear seat belt!!

Mission Womanossible

Off late I always wondered what is it that which keeps a woman in a completely different league than man. Why is that men always feel, women are complicated, when they themselves find trapped in a web when asked to chose one beautiful girl from 10 beautiful girls. A normal man will fall in love with all those girls at least for a second before he makes a choice. But that’s living nature, when God has given us eyes, what is it so unethical about to fall in love with each of them? Complication starts here and takes a face of a long lasting trouble which you have to witness entire life. That’s a woman for a man!!

I have always tried to stay away from that risk-zone when talking with a girl and probably because of this reason, I don’t have a friend who is a girl. My conversations ends way beyond that risk-zone. The outcomes are so neck-twisting, that you can suffocate to death. You hit the risk-zone once, you either die slowly or u die slowly, there is no way out. If you even try coming out of it, you experience a sudden explosion of emotional outflow of a fluid which is the world’s most dangerous weapon used against the “man” kind. Eventually you die!!! There is no way you can hurt their self-respect, and most of the time their self-respect is grown on your grave. You damn not try to raise your concern on this else the emotional weapon will burst on you, and eventually you’ll die. Recently I was chatting with a blogger friend of mine, initially things went smooth but suddenly I freaked her out. Now I have no clue, how I freaked her out, but it seems I did. Probably I was not talking what she wanted to hear. They have a filter in their ears. Topics on cricket, foot ball, base ball just do not enter their CPU. You talk about your friend who is beautiful; you freak them out, you talk about work; you freak them out; in fact you open your mouth for any of the filtered topics you freak them out. At last after freaking so much, you get freaked out.

“Nothing” is yet another weapon used to tell a man, that you have done a blunder and for which you will never be forgiven. If you are chatting with a girl and you get a response as “nothing”, please close the window and get back to work. There isn’t anything which can set the Madame’s mood right. Try after sometime, if luck favors you, you have hit the jackpot.

But it’s just not about the mood and treat-me-like-a-princess attitude which differs woman from a man. It’s also the care and affection they have for the loved ones. Well, I don’t have anything to write on these topics as I have very less experience and about love, the more said is less.

PS: I just closed a chat window :)

Life now....Life then...

A small poem by ME dedicated to all my friends who feel we lived a better life when we were in college…

We enjoyed our life having 10 bucks in pocket.
We made our day we few paper rockets.
We have 1000 bucks in our pocket today.
But have we lost the child in us away?

2 pegs in… we were the responsible Indians in Rome.
Today after 4 pegs, we are office at home.
We forgot to laugh our stomach out.
Don’t we have a topic or a reason I doubt

What struck our life, I still can’t find.
For it has made us richer, but no little time.
8 subjects in a semester was never a big deal.
8 hours in office tell me how it feels.

Tired are we in a few hours by.
Tired never were we few years by.
Has the time changed or the lifez unfair?
Tell me today do you cry without a tear.

In this journey we are climbing the hill.
For my heart says happiness on the other side is by our will.
I choose to grow old with a heart too young.
Lets sing that song we used to hum.

“Collar ko thoda sa upar chadhake…
Cigarette ke dhuve ka challa banake..
Sochana hai kya..Jo hoga woh hoga..
Chal padhe hai fiqr yara dhuve mein uda ke….”

Drunken Master

Never felt so good and so light
I am on whiskey and full tight
People say I survey road, and its risky
I love you deeply my signature whiskey

After a daylong hard work and no promotion
Gulped a beer full and enjoying life in slow-motion
Mona, Tina, Reena in office are so sexy
Rum makes my wife look like monika lewinsky

Few sips of vodka helps me to forget all sorrows
Drinks with friends can make your pocket hollow
At a corner I sit alone thinking about tomorrow
Wanna drink now..but no money, so I borrow

Bad morning it is, with a heavy head
I feel slow, restless and half-dead
I look around, with a stick in hand, my wife I see
I feel betrayed and dejected, I want my Lewinsky

Wondering what made me to come up with these lines
Is it the hangover or the new shop of wine?
I am wasting my time writing this crap
Wife says, if you vomit today, I’ll give u a tight slap!!

So hard to say...

Her eyes don’t let me sleep
Every moment, my love for her grows deep
My heart beats for her all the way
What I feel for her, why is it so hard to say?

The beautiful grey eyes, and those golden fur
Makes me feel am I good for her?
Her limit is sky and my petty fate
Why can’t I tell her before its late?

I’ve been waiting, waiting too long, to talk
But I can’t even say a “hello”, and I dream with her, a walk!
Someday I feel we will be together
Together we sing for the whole world to gather

Why is it so hard to say, what we feel
Three words we have to say, not a task uphill
Am I afraid of the retort, I may face
Its love, and even a NO has its grace

My 10 commandments of life

My 10 commandments of life

1) Don’t let anyone know your weakness. If you are afraid of a darkness, then just think of people who have no eye sight!!

2) If you are not strong enough to face people, then lie to yourself that you are strong and much superior than them. See the magic then!!

3) Think rich but live simple. In this way, you will be always hungry for success, yet will be grounded.

4) Work hard, work smart for the comforts of life and not just for the daily bread. Even if you don’t work, somehow you will get to eat something.

5) Never compromise your principles for others mistake. You can however amend them if you are in the wrong foot.

6) Time is money. Even if you presence is not important, never be late.

7) Be confident! Even being over confident is not bad, you just have to know how to handle it.

8) Never find faults in people, save time! Remember time is money. And also what you see as a fault can be a strength to some.

9) Always spare time for friends, because you never know what business plan may kick over a talk.

10) Never make your parents sad or disobey them, because no one on earth prays for you more than your parents and it’s their prayer which gives you strength to face hurdles!!

PS: Any decision of anyone to follow these commandments will be sole responsibility of the individual and not in any ways related to me.

Friday Love

Friday it was, what a day to be
I was lost at a sight, so beautiful was she
My heart went numb when she stepped the first step
I lost my senses from where they were kept

The fragrance of her mesmerized me
Flower was she and I sensed like a bee
A slight touch of her stroked current in me
She was a running water and I was a thirsty sea

Standing so close to me, I could hear her heart beat
Her eyes were blushing and smile so sweet
Slowly our eyes met and fingers made a move
Our breadth met, made a music, and we grooved

The feeling of love was in the air
It was a love at first sight, divine and flair
Holding our hands, we promised to live forever
Opened my eyes and I was alone as ever
Day dreaming very bad!!!

Not Just VOTE

Politics is a dirty game
For the people who have no shame
They say, they can sell our country for money
But aren’t we bothered a little honey

Rape, extortion, murder are the crimes at large
But bothered are we only for a new car in our garage
Our duty for our country ends in a day
It’s when we vote for the candidate who pays

Cry for the hikes in petrol, food and no rain
But think not for a minute when you waste these for no gain
Is our country a hunting ground?
For people come, throw bombs and play with lives around

We light candles, run in marathons for what we lost
But no one raises voice because the life luxury is at cost
Countrymen take pledge every time to save humankind
Little is remembered as time passes and all become blind

I blame myself for what we are today
My duty is not just to vote and enjoy Sundays
Politics is not a dirty game, but we are
Who have lost faith in human and kindness is too far

Will you cross skies for me...

An unrest in mind, with little sleep in eyes
Cramps in heart and pain like skies
All my life I loved her, as a soul to be
Now I stop to think, will she cross skies for me?

Past was good, as she smiled for a rose
She placed her palm on my heart, my heart got a dose
Those cozy moments behind the mountains I remember
Tears shed for you behind the water tank , why I wonder

For a glimpse of her, I bunked classes
I festive’d with herds, to tell her worth in masses
Glory times were of no meaning to me without her
Came a time when I was no meaning to her

She was my life, my reason to live, my dear
I crossed skies, mountains, oceans to show my love for her
She stayed back with a hand not mine, glued in hers
I still look back hoping she will cross skies in days or years..

Should I be jealous??

By nature I don’t get jealous for anything on earth. But these days I feel otherwise. I am not getting any reason to be happy about. Same work (I mean no work), same faces, same bus stop, same seat (I have started changing seats nowadays), the girl which I liked looks boring now. After work (which I mean no work), when I return home, same faces, same bus stop, same seat (I have started changing seats nowadays), the girl which I liked looks boring now (she is not the morning one). I come home, have eggs and milk, and hit gym to remove my frustrations. But guess what, even gym seems to be of no use. For whom am I working out so much? I sleep alone!!

I feel sad when I see the current location of a colleague joined much after me, not an Indian location. I do check the properties as well, just to make sure that he/she is not a lateral. Some guys don’t are not even in the Full time internet users list. What wrong have I done? But still I am fine, and least bothered about it. It’s just a frustration for a day and nothing else.

I had made a statement on Paggy’s marriage!!! “Baal vivah ho raha hai yahan”… I guess Paggy must be having a good time now. He doesn’t have 6 or 8 packs like me, but still whatever he has, I guess is much appreciated!! We doubted on his ability, but he did taped my mouth when I saw him reading that book!! Dude he was getting prepared!!! Am I jealous of him?? If so I have same feeling about my brother as well. Often when I get up to drink water, I hear some unclear sounds from my brothers bed room (he is married, recently). I look at the watch; its 3:00 a.m!! And I can never be jealous of my brother. But yet I am not happy. I am not happy of my own. I have no idea what and where my life is taking me.

The guard in our apartment never forgets to give me a smile. He stays in a small 10*10 square feet room with his wife and 3 children’s (all daughters; I guess in lieu of getting son, he managed 3 daughters. He has given up now!!). But still he is happy in his world and has a motive in life. He gets a salary of around 5000 bucks and he talks about his children’s education, about their marriage, about their future. I was thinking about the money we spend in parties, those branded shoes, t-shirts nothing less than a couple of thousands. We spend as much in a day, which he earns in a month. I earn much more than him, yet he is happier than me. Should I be jealous of him?

Our maid wants her son to be an engineer. She wants him to be in the top college. Although she doesn’t know even the college names, yet she has a vision. He correctly know why she has to work hard. Her son also knows what he wants in life. He wants to have a huge house for his mother, a car and so he wants to work hard. All I can look at him, and look inside me. I have everything which he doesn’t have now, yet he has a spark in his eyes. Should I be jealous of him?

My mom says, I am wasting life. Dad says I am good for nothing. Brother says I am still young and not to be serious; brother I am 25!!! But will someone even think of guiding me. If I am off track, will someone put me on the right track? I am actually missing out the basic happiness of life. I got everything when I never wanted it, and now I don’t find the meaning behind it.

A friend of mine says, I need a life partner to change my world. Does she mean, I have to get married? Ya, at least, I’ll be happy in nights; like Paggy and my brother, but not really prepared for it. Don’t wanna go on a roller coaster ride, when my life itself is riding one. All I want to know how to be happy and not pretend to be.

I am actually missing a lot in life:

My school days
My engineering gang
Pune office friends
My room mates
Teachers whisky…hick!!
Kingfisher strong..hick…hicks!!
Gold flake mild
Tangdi kabab
Hyderabadi biryani
Nachos
Masala dosa for 160/- bucks
Choco Ice box…

I need a wife!!!

Love marriage...Arrange marriage...casteism...etc

The problem is how love marriages (which fail) happen in India. This is not due to any western influence but due to Indian movies and mentality. Indians are too parochial when it comes to accept changes, rather they are influenced easily, but not influenced completely. Things get messed up only because the crux of the change is never complete in their minds. They do it only because his/her friend has done it. Love or arrange marriage, it’s the marriage which has its own identity and the two partners need to understand this building their identity as one. Marriage is certainly beyond the discussion Love vs. Arranged!!!

In Indian Movies, Love is depicted in a totally misleading and wrong way. Kids see this and get mislead by it. They think that they live happily after marriage and everything is lovey-dovey. Also they get the idea that infatuation or lust is Love.

Love marriages happen due to the decision taken by 2 people and if the people who are taking the decision are immature then the marriage is destined to fail.

Love marriages happening between two 18 year olds is a disaster waiting to happen. Also love marriages between a rich girl and a Driver/Rickshawwallah is also a disaster. Whereas a love marriage between 2 doctors, 2 SEs, 2 bank employees, 2 teachers is a perfect way as both understand each other and profession very well. This is not mandatory, but if partner understands each other and respect for what they are, love marriages never fail. Few lucky people get the chance to marry with the person they love, and this relation should never be taken for granted.

Every marriage whether Love or arranged has to be worked upon. Both require equal amount of work. But in love marriage some work has already happened before marriage(and not entire work) while in arranged you have to start from beginning. But in arranged marriage you don’t have any choice to abandon the work.

I have always shown support for love marriage, not because it gives me liberty to chose my partner, but because in India the best and only way casteism can be abolished or become less relevant is by having love marriages. Else I am sure even after 50 years we will still be seeing people talking about their castes.

Even after getting so much evolved, exposed we today want to believe in casteism. Do we make enough individual choices to be happy? Or are we forced to makes these choices based on circumstances which are temporary? (And don’t worry about the religion of your child…would you ever feel bad if your parent have had an inter religion/caste marriage?). An individual can be only as broad minded as his society is. And society talks about culture, but when I dig a bit in our own mythology, few facts astonish me completely. Like I am stating few examples of love marriages; Not even going too far in past, just some examples from Mahabharata

Nal Damyanti->Love Marriage

LordSiva & DeviParvati-> Love Marriage

Arjun Draupadi-> love Marriage ( Draupadi chose Arjun in the Swayambar and she fell in Love with him since the first moment)

Arjun Subhadra-> Love marriage that involved elopement with the help of Lord Krishna

Arjun Ulupi-> love marriage

Arjun Chitrangada->. Love marriage

Bhim Hirimba-> Love Marriage between a Human Male and a Monster Female Surprisingly with the consent of parents, guess parents then din’t care about religion, caste even species diff et al when it came to happiness of their children. May be they were wrong , Right?)

Dushmanta Shakuntala-. Love marriage

And please don’t question on the future of Dushmanta Shakuntala marriage, especially if you worship Lord Krishna(Remember Radha-krishna? Am not going into any debate or details here)

I am somehow very happy for Arjun…lucky chap!! But was there no casteism at that time? What is more important, is life after marriage and not the casteism, religion etc. For 2 people to be happy, reverence for oneself and for each other is very important. Marry to be together in love and not to promote casteism. We have got a lot from the society, and now it’s our turn to help society on casteism. I am not a great person, but it does not require any greatness to stand for good and for me casteism is not good; casteism can only help to divide.

The love of my life

Name encounter

It took me two months to get her name and there is my heroism behind it to get. It was not all easy to get her name, although I had bribed all my friends to get it, as they would get anything they want, for it. But what happens happens for good. It was my fate to get it and I got it. I was in the canteen deciding for lunch when all of a sudden I heard someone saying..”Abey Vinay, teri waali”. Next thing was a broom in my mind and my eyes rolled every corner of the food court, but for a moment I stopped. “Whom am I searching by the way” I asked Stalin. Stalin’s look said it all. I was searching those grey eyes by now when my eyes struck on a beautiful woman, wearing a green long top, with white duppatta embracing her neck and white fit pants. I was standing still there just imagining how anyone can be so beautiful. I don’t know what Vijay caterers were serving that day, but still I had the coupon in my hand and I headed towards her. My heart started pounding very fast at every step I took. A mere 10 mts walk seemed to be a walk of lifetime. Finally I was there, standing just beside her. Which perfume do girls use; they make your senses go numb, or was it her body smell that hypnotized me. For a moment I was just looking into her eyes, those grey eyes. She has a very cute face, with some darkness below her eyes and few golden hairs that she intentionally tugs behind her ears. All girls do that, and all guys like it. I guess this is something eternal. Girls know how to make their point. Anyways all I knew after few seconds that guys who took the coupon after me, were standing before me. Her eyes made me stay apart from the queue and others joined. Never mind I said to myself, at least I was close. I had to talk to her, I was cursing myself for not getting ideas at that point of time, and moreover she was with her brothers, so there was no chance for me to say something stupid. I wanted to say a simple “Hi”, but what came out of my mouth was completely different. “Are you in the queue?” All I could ask. Damn! Everybody out there knew that she was not in the queue; I mean she was nowhere near the queue, yet this stupid question came out of my mouth. “No I am not, and I am sorry” She said. Time for self-cursing again, first time she talked with me and she had to say sorry.. Damn it yaar. I was so embarrassed. But at this time when she turned I could read that name on her ID..” Sunaina Suhas Patwardhan” and I was on the seventh heaven. I did it, I got her name and I was so proud of myself. I wanted to tell everybody in the food court that I could get the name of my life. But as I turned, she had left and I was on earth. I handed my coupon to the waiter and the tasty butter chicken was on my plate. I came to Stalin and all he could offer was a wicked smile. This is how I got her name.

The day when I first saw her

It was yet another dejected morning for the losers in love. Yeah Stalin and I can write a book on how to not get a girl friend and yet cribbing over it. We have the same routine, at 8:30 a.m. we rush to FC-2 not just to have breakfast, but also to make our morning fresh. Swanand do accompany us, but he has nothing to do with the girl friend stuff. Stalin calls a bunch of people as “Napunsak”. These are the people who have no problems if others have girl friends. Their only motto is “they’ll love their wife”. Even God has now started taking interest in marofying ours. Why the hell only couples have to walk in front of us? Why do they have to do all that kuchiku stuff when we are around? Does God laugh on our condition? He must be having a good time watching us. All Stalin could curse his fate and next was Jesus, he was sure that it was God who is behind all this. “How man?” I shrugged. “If you have a girl friend, its your charm, and if you don’t, it’s a conspiracy” I said in a tone, which I guess offended Stalin. “You don’t know him” Stalin said. I didn’t want to argue on such stupid stuff and so we moved on. As we reached FC, a cool breeze flew past my ears; the morning breeze, it always freshens you up. I wonder why companies don’t catch the breeze and sell it. It would make market more than the “Red Bull”. It was the Off Beat for today as decided and Stalin was standing in the queue as always. We were chatting on the social issues guys like us face everyday. Our social issue was “Why doesn’t any girl even look at us?”. I mean we are tall, handsome, good looking and much better than those mules walking hand n hand with their girl friends. “Do girls even have brains to choose a guy?” I slapped a question to Stalin. He smiled on my restlessness and pointed above. “What the heck “ I said “he has much better work than to ruin our bachelor life”. “Paap, paap jo kiye hain na humne, uska punishment hai yeh” Stalin said. I smirked on my fate and we were quiet for a while, only when the same breeze flew by my ears. I had no other option to turn around. I was immobilized, stunned and what not to see that face. How on earth can anyone be so beautiful and so simple? Her smile reflected on my face and my tongue came out. I was watching her so intensely that I could hear her heart beat. She has this little canine tooth little bent inside to add flavor to her smile. Her eyes when winked made me feel I lost a skip of my heart. Her skin was so flawless and smooth. I would have suggested her name to endorse the Recova cream. She was perfect in every aspect. The few golden hairs mixed with the black ones, were glowing like a light of hope. All sorts of feelings were running in my mind. Whether should I talk with her, or should I tell my parents first, how happy will they be? What to tell her? Should I approach her now or later? What can be her name? What will be our kids name? I was all in dreams when a familiar voice haunted my ears. “Saale aise dekhega toh who bhag jaayegi” Stalin interrupted. That was me who was in love at the first sight. Before I could say anything she left and I was having my breakfast with the most beautiful guys on earth; Stalin and Swanand. All I could look up and smirk again on the conspiracy.

Days before name encounter

Days passed by and I did not get chance to see her again. I was busy in my project and had to keep my heart happy by shopping girls on my floor. But there was some hope that she had left in me, that I would see her again. After a couple of days, our not-wanted Gang was in FC for breakfast. What I couldn’t believe on eyes as I saw her again. I ran back to Stalin to ask whether she was the one. Stalin somehow got interested and confirmed. I had to pinch myself twice to believe it. Here was the plot now, we had to get her name anyhow and all gave a hi-five. We were so much into the plan, that no one noticed that she was gone. As we raised our heads up to check her out, she was nowhere. “Do girls eat anything or do they come here just for time pass?” a question raised. However most of the guys were still not convinced that I was actually serious about her, but as a rule of our ATM gang we had to anyhow get her name. I saw a reason to bribe guys here, so that the rule helps my motto. I told Stalin, if you get me her name I’ll buy him a Lacoste t-shirt. We were well with our plan and we did many chances to get her name but these guys were trained best to ruin chances.

It was a traditional day in our office and we all were in jeans. Jeans is our tradition you see. It was Friday, and I was destined to see the most beautiful women in saree. Yes, on that day she was wearing a saree. I was cursing myself for not wearing anything traditional. It seemed that all the guys with me were eventually falling in love with her and I had to pull my nerves up to get these bastards on ground. She passed by me, and all I saw was her beautiful waist. That’s the best thing about saree I guess, you wear a traditional thing, yet you expose a lot to give it a sexy look. “I love desi girls” I murmured. That scene had scandalized me and if ever my heart was beating so fast. I had to cool down else there was a sure case of a heart attack. How can a poor heart handle such a sight? My eyes could read the number of wrinkles her saree had near her navel, the saree was so perfectly tugged around her waist as bee tugs its mouth in the flower to drink the nectar. All I was imagining to be the bee and her waist as a flower. “Here is the chance” Swanand shouted pointing towards Stalin. Stalin had the best chance to read her name from her ID. Stalin took the guard, and rose slightly from the seat, to get a better view. “Just watch her ID, and nothing else” I ordered and Stalin nodded. He was almost there, and she turned and Stalin spilled the tea on the passer by. “Samina Pathan” Stalin said after which I could here only sorry’s from his mouth. My heart broke at that very moment and I looked up. “Are you sure that, she is…” I quizzed Stalin. “I am not sure man, I could not get her name completely, she turned…but her name starts with ‘S’”. I say this is a ray of hope and I was sure that she was Hindu only; ok my heart said and hummed Desi girls arey desi girls. Here we were, lost another chance until that day came…”Name Encounter”

Tell me how it feels when

Why I have to prove every minute?
What I create are just the feelings in it
Why anyone has to question a creation?
All I ask is a line of appreciation.

If I am not true, may my work go waste
But think about the effort in no haste
Every line in life has its own meaning
Put some efforts to understand with no partial feelings

Let’s not forget the power of words
Put them together, you’ll know how it works
Put them right, so no one get hurts
Make an attempt, it sure does work

Try to set your feet in others den
Make a wrong comment and tell me how it feels then
Don’t let ego come your way when
All you have to say “you have done a good job”, tell me how it feels then

Support Your Company.....QUIT!!

I work for a company which asks me to smile
How can I if life here is not worth a while
Make me believe that scene isn’t wrong here
Give me my worth here and not a dairy milk mere

I feel so lost when I open my eyes
All are moving fast and their future fly high
Am I not worth, the work I do?
Or should I slog the way the others do?

Years passed by, but I am still stone feet’d
I want to grow, why do I feel defeated?
I am paying, to be true to work
All I feel now is I am growing, growing deep down in the murk

Help me somebody, pull me out
I cannot survive and I want to shout
I feel betrayed and I feel ditched
Now it’s my turn to think for a switch

In Love...

What have you done to me?
I am lost and not what I am to be
My ears sleep and eyes hear
My mind walk but I am still here
I have fallen, fallen in love with you dear

What have you done to me?
Sour tastes sweet, your face is what all I see
Legs dance even with no music on
I smile and smile with your thoughts in mind
I have fallen, fallen in love its blind

What have you done to me?
I drink water and I feel high
I welcome only you and bid all a goodbye
Crazy I go when I hear your voice
And I kiss air to get your breadth

What have you done to me?
I hate pink, but I wear pink for you
I hate roses, but I buy them for you
Life seem so colorful with you
I have fallen, fallen in love with you

Avoid Long Distance Relationship!!!

A survey revealed that about 60% of the relationship tend to break only because of the lack of physical presence and time. Many also think and believe the old adage “distance make the heart grow fonder”, but since technology makes much of the things a bit easier to reach your beloved today with emails, texting, phone calls later things can get a bit tricky. From the dreaming of long drives comes the long fights on phone, lonely stretches in between dries out the initial guise embracing each other. Initially it works well but as time goes the feeling of love turns into complaining, fighting, frustration etc. One should need to pamper and support in his/her daily life in high or low time on which long-distance relationship fails due to time zone differences, individual daily routine, priorities etc.

Because time always serves as healing stuff and it teaches you to live without your partner. As you are away from your partner its natural you tend away from him/her and may cause your priority shift. Yes if there is enough understanding between partners they can come across long distance relationship, but understanding should be from both sides. Just hoping that God will make something good for us will eventually surface broken hearts. What is more important is we should understand what complications can arise due to both partners not being able to share space, enjoy the personal touch and the feeling of being there. As these complications on the course of relationship tend to get stronger leading to insecurities, frustration and eventually break-up. A gradual decrease in the intimacy between the couples is having a long distance relationship is seen which is due to either not being able to communicate properly or not being able to satisfy personal needs. Satisfaction in terms of emotional and physical fails miserably in a long distance relationships. One of the easiest ways to destroy a perfectly healthy relationship is to poison it with jealousy and drama, this happens when partners goof up with their social lives and usually tend to interrogate your partner every time he/she decides to go out for a drink with people you haven't met or he/she didn't get back to you right away when you called and left a message. Just because you are in an long distance relationship, your lives won't pause. Partners will naturally have a social life where he/she lives and a sense of insecurity prevails. This requires to have a very strong trust on your partner which is usually hard in a long distance relationship. A simple joke can turn out to be a spit fire in a relation and can be a turn off. Everyday relation seems to be very challenging and the attempt to make it stable actually de-stabilizes the whole relation as we become more manipulative. A motive or a lie not to hurt your partner and break the trust in a second and sadly most of the times no one gets a fair chance to explain. Only phone or such media cannot thrive a relation, partners need shoulder at times and that cannot be replaced by a cell phone. Eventually such relation takes a path towards down fall.

There are times when situations go nasty as either of the partner tend to get closer to his/her colleague/team mate/friend due to the tensions or frustrations in the current relationship. Indifferences are bound to happen in every kind of relation, but the probability of things turning out into a very different level is much more in long distance relationship. A mere news of him/her getting close to his/her colleague can cause a turmoil leading to fights and losing mental stability. It is at this point humans tend to compare happiness he/she shares with the other people whom he/she likes. Partners lose their hold on emotions and gradually fall into a relationship with a different person where he/she finds more care and comfort all leading to an individual with a heartache. This it is very important to set your expectations before getting into long distance relationships and save yourself from the heartaches and misunderstandings. People in a normal short-distance relationships usually do not spend much time talking, rather they indulge in sharing activities and be as close to each other.

So all in all, avoid long distance relationships and live a healthy life. If one has a very strong heart and don’t mind complications can very well experience all sorts of relationships.

Bangalore DC!!!

Bangalore DC!!! A cultural attack on me as I entered the campus. “Hi, I am lakshmi”, “Hi, am Subramanyam”…Gosh!! are all Gods in Bangalore DC? Lakshmi was so beautiful, I was wondering her name to be something like Supriya, Roma etc anything modern. I could not even stare her with my lusty eyes as I was afraid that she might be some reincarnated Goddess and may curse the hell out of me. Why to take chance, so I thought better not to get into all this. First day, such things happen, I better be in control.

Working in Pune office for almost 3 years, I was quite confident that Bangalore office might have a much better crowd than in Pune. Having said this, I don’t dis-respect the beauties of Pune office, probably it’s just that I was a bit bored greeting same faces. Bangalore office has cute faces and some are really beautiful and that is what motivates us to come to office. Well at this age, it’s not only the challenges that helps us to get pulled to office, it’s the extra boosters (read as girls/women) that act as magnet on us and factually it is required. Now since most of the companies have stopped (refer salary slips) motivating their employees, the onus is on the employees now on how to get self-motivated. As I guy, I know if few more beautiful faces are added in the campus and building floors, none would be late to office, and I would want to assume that same must be true for girls or is the mobile phones? Recent study says girls are more obsessed with their mobile phones rather than guys, bad news though but who cares? We just want to do window shopping!!

Ahh!!! Friday it is. I must say, most of the people really have to get back to SLI (Sinfosys Leadership Institute)to know what to dress and what not to. Who wears a party dress in office? There must be a clear demarcation of what is a informal office wear and what is a party wear. I saw a guy today, wearing a black color t-shirt having an embedded sparkling sliver tie. Over that he was wearing a silky satin white colored body fit jacket. I was like hello!!! are we going to Sinfosys Technologies Ltd. Or Sinfomania Pub. Guys give me a break. The only good this is till now I have not seen any girls wearing a sensuous vampy type of dress here, quite cultured huh!! At last something good to feel about. I may sound very malgudi days guy, but in office one has to behave, at least things which is in our control. Food courts drove me crazy here. My friends always taunted me for the extra bit of appetite I have, but here in Bangalore, the daily routine is like this: Pre_Lunch-Lunch-Pre_Dinner-Dinner. Yes, there is no breakfast or evening snacks kind of thing here. Folks believe in extra healthy diet here; wonder where the food goes? They aren’t fatty as well!! But food here is damn tasty, and vendors know that when you say a South Indian or North Indian Thali, it means they have to serve what they are actually meant to be.

Coming back to Friday again, Friday’s are always meant to be in love, and how could I be any bad with my little heart, and as always a stunning nose got all the attention. Ummm, well I say, every part of girls deserves attention, and this time for me it was nose. To be frank, it wasn’t exactly the nose that scandalized me, it was the jewel which she had worn in her nose that was getting all my attention. Here is an extra gyan that would keep you’ll interested - Indian women regard Nose jewelry as a symbol virginity and is removed in the wedding night symbolizing the end of woman’s virginity (enough of imagination; even I was so uncomfortable to think all this in an early morning bus). Later I found out, that jewel was worth on her nose as it just added more shine on her face. A few stones on that jewel reflected light back and few rays were falling on her eye lashes; she was indeed damn beautiful. I searched her ring finger (both hands, why to take any chance) for any ring in the first place and then the toes; women do wear some sort of ring in their toes when they get married. Result of all eyed interrogation? She was clean, and I was on seventh heaven. It’s when I realized what all I missed in Pune. To know girls closely you need to board company bus, and we thought a pulsar would do the trick. Coming back to the bus-beauty, one hour journey will all “Illa ri’s” and “Summane irru’s” beside me, my eyes were stuck on her, and the journey seemed to enjoyable as ever. Bus entered the company gate, and did not waste time to run behind her. What I missed then was to check around her neck for the divine license, and to my dismay she was wearing one. She was married and I tumbled down from the seventh heaven. A friend of mine used to curse God every time for such pranks on him, even I wanted to do so, but thought to control it and deal with him later. My love story ended like a gist of a boring novel. But not to worry, Bangalore DC has a good back up.

Damn I have not written a mere good thing about Bangalore DC (except the FC’s and Girls), well that’s human nature at its best. We tend to find mistakes first, and that’s how software engineers are built. People here are very shy but at the same time very well mannered and very well cultured. Day starts very early here (I remember Vijay Mallya saying – “Start day early as on bed only prostitutes make money”), and people believe in sparing time for self which is good. 8 out of 10 believed that there is no point staying in office only for the heck of completing hours. This was a complete change over in the attitude I was seeing and much like the way I like to work. As the sun started to come down, legs started to move to the bus-bay. It was then I realized that all attitude shift is just because of the traffic here. It took me 2 hours to reach home!!!

O girl, I am crazy upon you!!!

Its drizzling in my heart o’my love
The leaves of my heart drowned in the water
And then the a thunder strikes, changes the weather
Water drops on your face, reminds me the morning dew
O girl, I am crazy upon you!!!

Its drizzling in my heart o’my love
Your freshness is like a smell of earth in the first rain
Like a rejoicing child caring a little for pain
Like cuddling in your lap, for the warmth you have
Rests in my senses restless, the charm you have

Its drizzling in my heart o’my love
Dripping water from your hair kissing your cheeks
Brings shivers to my body and eyes do leak
I thrive my life to make you mine
To share my manhood with you and enjoy with a wine

Its drizzling in my heart o’my love
The wetness of your lips and those magnificent eyes I like to greet
Let the whole world hear, I want to be your hand and feet
Let me come in your dreams, rule your heart and say a words few
O girl, I am crazy upon you!!!
