One morning I couldn’t see that curve
That curve which pulled me to my love
Agony or hatred, was the reason for that rout
And I tell her, its under your nose, not lost, wear it and don’t ever doubt
All for that smile, and the wink in her eyes
I joke, I pray and I act foolish sometimes
Sometimes, I am not me, to make her happy
But isn’t it worth, to see her smile and cuddle like a puppy?
I try to be her laughter, a pill against pain
When the climate is hot, for her, I want to be rain
So much, yet so less I wish for her,
For her, I wish all happiness and no pain near
A smile on her face makes my day
She smiles, I smile, not a trouble in our way
Tears are the words heart can’t express
She is my life, and her smile, a cure to distress

Bangalore Drift
Yet another time I proved that no one in my entire family can waste my dad’s money as much as I do. This time it was not my fault though, but this is India and we have to pay for others fault. What happened yesterday could have been avoided if the city infrastructure was up to the mark and standards, and yes the Police Bolero at the wrong place doubled my trouble!!!
Yesterday wasn’t any special day, it still took 2 hours for me to reach home. Tired, frustrated and annoyed I called up my Jiju to ask him if we can go to any restaurant for dinner. He readily agreed, I called up my brother to meet us in Nandini. After a very satisfied dinner, my brother asked me to drop Jiju and drive his car back to our house as we had planned to spend the coming weekend in Kerala. I dropped Jiju at his house, and with lot of good nights I hit the road back home. Suvi (my cousin sister) was with me and we planned to have ice cream before going home. After many days I had got Honda CRV in my hand, and was so excited about it. I zoomed off every corner till Malleshwaram and at a turn the fully energetic and devil mind of mine asked for a drift. Adrenaline took over my senses and I hit the gas to zoom off and try out a perfect drift. I have done this a lot of time on my car and was very confident to pull out this time. Roads were very tacky and narrow, but that did not stop me!!! In fact nothing could stop me to drift CRV!!!
As I took a steep left and pulled the hand brakes on 80kmpl I could sense the drift of my life. Heart beat was 50% more than normal. With the sweet sound of tyre’s rubbing the roads I had almost completed the drift (heart beat 65% more than normal), when in a flash I saw a white Bolero parked just too outside the main road. I had to hit the brakes hard, but the momentum carried my car just to say “Why the hell did you park your car here??” and boom!!! Heart beat 80% more than normal!!! I was petrified and shocked. I came out of my car and asked Suvi to step out. The Bolero had few scratches (thanks to my driving), but when I moved to the front of the car, my heart beat raised to 95% than normal. It was a police Bolero (my heart beat stopped!!), and with that Suvi started laughing out loud. Crash took a toll on her I guess. I saw my car and all I could say…”not again!!!(this was my second incident with this car, first one was in 2007). Soon some 2-3 police officials came, and looking Suvi laughing even they started to laugh..what the hell!!! One of them came to me and asked me to do “haaah” in front of the alcohol detector machine. Thank god I did not drink, else I was gone for life. They were quite calm and asked me to call someone elder in my family. I called up my brother and Jiju.
After a lot of lecture from the Police, Jiju and brother they asked me to leave at around 12 p.m. My brother had already informed my dad about this and I was expecting a call from him. My wish soon came true, I saw my mobile ringing…Dad calling…and I was deeply praying, please dad don’t call!!! I answered, and he said, “So what next??”. Did I hear it as “which next??”!!! Call disconnected…..tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Moral: Bangalore roads are not good for drifting. The banking of the roads are not properly done and so I could not completely control the car. Government should do something about it.
PS: Always wear seat belt!!
